The Cabinet of Ministers, in cooperation with representatives of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches, is tasked with developing a comprehensive plan of events to mark the National Day of Prayer at the state level within three months. Regional state administrations and the Kyiv City State Administration are responsible for organizing and implementing activities related to the observance of the National Day of Prayer.
According to the authors of the law, its adoption will contribute to preserving Ukraine's spiritual heritage, strengthening the patriotic spirit and consolidating Ukrainian society in a united prayer for victory and restoration of the country's territorial integrity.
The Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy supported the initiative at its meeting on 16 January. Recognising the importance of common prayer in preserving spiritual heritage, strengthening patriotism and uniting Ukrainian society in hope for victory and territorial restoration, the Committee recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt the resolution in its entirety.
