On March 12, 2025, a meeting of the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations (UCCRO) was held in Kyiv at the Evangelical Baptist Church "Temple of Peace." The meeting addressed pressing issues concerning state-confessional relations in Ukraine and the international activities of religious denominations.

UCCRO representatives discussed aspects of churches' social and humanitarian work, the status of clergy during martial law, and exchanged views on the implementation of the provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On the Protection of the Constitutional Order in the Sphere of Religious Organizations’ Activities." As a result of the discussions, the UCCRO Secretariat planned a series of meetings with relevant central executive authorities.

Participants also analyzed recent visits by Council representatives to London and Washington and planned future delegations of religious leaders to Warsaw (Poland) and Prague (Czech Republic). The religious denomination currently presiding over UCCRO was tasked with coordinating relevant communication with international partners.

Following the Secretariat meeting, representatives of the Council of Churches, together with military chaplains and members of other churches and religious organizations, attended the presentation of a waterproof New Testament published by "Biblica." The project was introduced by Thomas Kraus, the founder of numerous humanitarian initiatives for Ukraine, and Trevor Wilson, the head of the regional division of "Biblica."

The newly presented New Testament edition is made from a special waterproof material that repels moisture and protects the pages from damage. The book remains readable even after full immersion in water. This feature is particularly crucial for military personnel and individuals in difficult conditions where traditional books deteriorate quickly.

The first print run—20,000 copies—is already in production and will soon be available for distribution.

Participants in the UCCRO Secretariat meeting included: the representative of the Council’s Chair, Pastor Volodymyr Kondor, the Ordinary of the Kyiv-Zhytomyr Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church, Bishop Vitalii Kryvytskyi, the Head of the Ukrainian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Bishop Marcos Hovhannisyan, the Mufti of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea, Aider Rustemov, as well as authorized representatives of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Pentecostal Church, the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Evangelical Christian Church, the Ukrainian Evangelical Church, the Ukrainian Lutheran Church, the German Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ukraine, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Bible Society, and the Institute for Religious Freedom.
