On October 22, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Action Plan for the Observance of the National Day of Prayer (Order No. 1157-r), implementing the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada adopted on February 12, 2025.
The document provides for the annual observance on February 24 of prayer and memorial events in Kyiv, across the regions of Ukraine, and in Ukrainian diplomatic missions abroad to honor the defenders who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
The observance of the National Day of Prayer will involve religious organizations, military chaplains, healthcare representatives, and the Ukrainian diaspora. The plan also envisions the development of a unified text of prayer, which will become part of the annual ceremony.

It should be recalled that the National Day of Prayer was first observed on February 24, 2025, during a special session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the participation of representatives of the Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations.
